Installing Multiple Versions

Is it just me, or is it odd that the v9.3 install will auto-uninstall v9.0, 9.1, and v9.2 on your computer? And is it odd that the v9.2 install will not run when v9.3 is already installed? These version will peacefully coexist on a computer, so why have the installers enforce exclusivity? Makes it hard to have a test client which can use the various DOORS versions.

Previously you could install v9.1 after v9.2 and it would not care.

I know there are a few conflicting issues, the single "doors" protocol handler and there is some clumsiness with the different doors.dot files, but these issues are resolvable on the client PC, and in fact should be resolved by the installer.

It's not you, it's definitely odd and a pain for DOORS Administrators who have to support multiple versions (DOORS 5v2 still lurks in some dark corners) - this is most likely a constraint introduced as part of the incremental introduction of changes to DOORS to push it towards becoming compatible with the IBM Jazz platform.
